Dear Members,
We hope this message finds you well. The Multipurpose Center (MPC) has always been a cherished space for fostering connection, creativity, activities, and community support. We truly value the role it plays in your lives and the many ways it brings people together.
To ensure the MPC continues to serve our community at its best, we’ve made adjustments to our rental rates and policies. These changes are necessary to address increased operational costs, including utility expenses, the upkeep of the facility, and the time and effort required from our staff to prepare and maintain the space.
New Rental Policies (Effective January 1, 2025):
Rental Fee: The rental rate will increase from $25 to $100 per booking. This adjustment reflects the costs associated with maintaining the space and ensuring it remains a welcoming environment for all.
Refundable Deposit: A fully refundable $150 deposit will now be required for all rentals. This deposit will be returned in full, provided the space is left clean, undamaged, and in its original condition after your event. To streamline the return of your deposit, we’ve introduced a checklist to help ensure the space is properly maintained after use. This checklist will be included in your rental packet.
Fee Waiver for Support Groups:
We understand the importance of mental health and support groups in our community. To ensure these vital gatherings continue without financial barriers, the Board of Directors has the capacity to waive rental fees for groups that provide mental health services or community support. If your group may qualify for a waiver, please reach out to us to discuss this option.
We recognize this is a significant update, and we want to assure you that these decisions were made with careful consideration to preserve the sustainability of the Multipurpose Center while balancing the needs of our community.
